Double Data Rate (DDR) SDRAM Technology

Double Data Rate (DDR) SDRAM is a further development of SDR products. Data of DDR SDRAMs are read on both the rising and the falling edge of per clock cycle, thereby delivering twice the bandwidth of standard SDR SDRAMs.

A DDR SDRAM clocked at 200 MHz has a burst rate of 400 Mbit/s or a peak bandwidth of more than 3.2 Gbytes/s in a 8-byte application.
