Low Power SRAM Performance at DRAM Cost.

CellularRAM is a multi-generation family of low-power pseudo-static RAM (PSRAM) for wireless handsets. It is designed to replace SRAM in next-generation mobile phones and bandwidth demands of future 2.5G and 3G handset designs by providing a high capacity, high bandwidth and power efficient memory solution. Additionally, this technology offers a lower cost/bit ratio than current solutions.

This new type of Pseudo SRAM features a

  • SRAM-pin compatibility and
  • refresh-free operation and a low-power design.

  • 16Mb
  • 32Mb
  • 64Mb
  • 128Mb


Address-Data Multiplexing:

  • Non-mux
  • AD-mux

Advantages:

  • Backward compatible with standard SRAM devices.
  • Backward compatible with standard SRAM devices.
  • Power consumption comparable to SRAM devices.
  • Supporting asynchronous/page modes, as well as an innovative burst interface - that is fully compatible with the low-power Flash interface.
  • Performance: asynchronous/page version access time 70ns. CellularRAM™ - with burst access mode burst rate of up to 104 MHz.
  • The price/bit ratio of CellularRAM™ is significantly lower than an SRAM device.
